This stunning stallion bred by Salvador Sanchez-Barbudo Martin in 1978 was an eye opener to many breeders at that time, his unusual highly functional movement, and very correct almost sport type conformation made him stand out in the crowd. So much so that in 1985 Alegre XIX was crowned Champion of Champions in Spain, as well as taking the movement award in the Senior Stallion Class.
His lines are often leaner with a more warmblood build, usually between 15.3 and 16.3 hands, with large bone, and very traditional spanish profiles, the neck is often lean and inverted to a small degree, their movement is known to be exceptional in both elevation and suspension, lacking only some impulsion.
Producing 95 foals from 1983 - 1995
This stallion only produced grey and bay foals, however with the evidence of his offspring and their offspring there is a high likely hood that this stallion had a chestnut gene. Known for his unusual metallic sheen.
